SUBJECT: LIVE FIRING EXERCISE AT VIPHYA, MZIMBA DISTRICT
The Malawi Defence Force wishes to inform the general public that it will conduct live firing exercises for 105mm Artillery Guns at Viphya Field Training Range in Mzimba district from 4th July to 12 July 2024.
Malawi Defence Force is therefore appealing to the general public in the mentioned area to take note and not feel disturbed by the presence of the troops since this is only a routine exercise and safety measures have been taken to inconvenience the public.
However, members of the general public are warned and advised not to touch any strange objects they may come across in this area but report these to the nearest Police Station or any soldier within vicinities. They are also to be aware that the 105mm Artillery guns have a reach of 20 km, hence need not be any nearer of Viphya Field Training Range.
