The Malawi Defence Force Health Services (MDFHS) commenced its inaugural Advanced Tactical Combat Casualty Care (ATCCC) training at Kamuzu Barracks on Monday, 7 September 2026.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, MDFHS Commandant, Colonel (Dr) Geoffery Ndekha, described the programme as a significant milestone in strengthening the service's capacity to save lives in demanding operational environments.
He urged participants to approach the training with seriousness, discipline, and an open mind, stressing the importance of confidence, sound judgement, and practical skill in casualty care.
The five-day training has brought together 36 service members drawn from all MDF camp hospitals.
